LoRaWAN

Description

This lateral IR communication module is suitable to be mounted next to any single and three phase Energy Meters, Active and reactive, imported and exported energies under 2 Tariffs measured by the ECS meters are available through LoRaWAN. LoRaWAN technology provides a far longer range than WiFi or Bluetooth and is especially indicated for applications in remote areas with low network coverage. It can transmit data at a far distance (up to 15 km) using a very low power consumption comparable to the one of a common gate opener remote control.

The Module has 3 communication interfaces:

• an Infrared interface, receiving data from the Meter
• an USB 2.0 interface, used to configure and monitor the Module
• a LoRaWAN interface, compliant with LoRaWAN 1 version, transmitting data using a RF band around 868 MHz
